The Skills for Youth Employment Project has been implemented in Kisoro Town Council Kisoro district South Western Uganda targeting 40 (29 females and 11 males) out of school youth aged 15-30 years engaged in both crafts and carpentry businesses. The project has empowered the youth with adequate skills and knowledge on quality production that could help them compete with the market demand. The project has been implemented by Future Hope Foundation Uganda with strong involvement of key stakeholders to make it clear, transparent, ownership and attains sustainable development within the region. It was supported by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) from 2014 to August 2015. The project has led to business expansions; new businesses and creation of new jobs.
